Centre for Evidence Based Dermatology (CEBD) - is part of the University of Nottingham. The CEBD has a strong record of involving patients and carers in their research. Historically they have done this on an individual, group or study basis, but now they have brought all this together in the form of the CEBD Patient Panel. The Patient Panel helps the CEBD to create a more effective research environment and also gives more support to people who want to get involved in their research. If you are affected by a skin disease (either as a patient or a carer), such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, skin cancer and other rare skin conditions you have the opportunity to become involved in a variety of activities including: helping to design research studies by giving your perspective as a patient/carer, becoming a patient advocate of CEBD and promoting what they are trying to achieve in your community and supporting those new to research if you have been involved in the past. SkinCell International Forum for Skin Disorders - an international, non-profit, discussion forum for all skin complaints including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea and many others. Open to sufferers, their family and friends.
 
The Institute for Complementary and Natural Medicine (ICNM) - exists to provide the public with information on complementary and alternative medicine. It launched the British Register of Complementary Practitioners (BRCP) 20 years ago, making it one of the country's longest-running multi-disciplinary registers of complementary practitioners.
