Your skin is the largest organ of your body and what you put on it will be absorbed. The impact from the daily cocktail of substances we put on the skin is only just beginning to be understood.
The good news is that a growing number of companies are now making organic and/or ‘free from’ skin care products for people with sensitive and problem skin. Unfortunately, unlike organic food, there are no legal standards for organic skin care products. As a result, some companies choose to label a product as 'organic' even if it only contains 1% organic ingredients or if it contains potentially hazardous substances, so it is important to read the label of ingredients.
This is one of the reasons why the Soil Association developed the health and beauty standards. Look for the Soil Association symbol (or worldwide equivalent) for your guarantee that the product has been checked and meets the strictest standards for organic purity and integrity.
There are many skin care and facial care products available and many can be found via search engines such as Google.
